PwC’s Hiring Process

The typically process of being hired by PwC is broken down into 6 simple steps.

The 5 steps to being hired are as follows:

Step 1 – Online Application Form

During this step, you will complete a basic online application form. Detailing your personal details as well as your employment records from previous roles, in order for PwC to gain an understanding into your experience. During this form remember to read all of the instruction clearly and carefully, taking your time to check important things like your spelling and grammar.

Step 2 – Online Immersive Job Preview Assessment

This is often also referred to as a situational judgement test, during this test you will be invited to watch video scenarios of what it is really like to work at PwC. After watching these videos, you will then be asked a series of questions based on what you have just seen. These questions will help the recruiters to decide if you would be suitable for the role you have selected.

Step 3 – Games-based psychometric Assessment

This assessment includes a series of games designed to measure your cognitive skills as well as your behavioural preferences. These will be assessing your:

• Cognitive skills
•  Behavioural preferences
•  Numerical Ability
•  Reasoning Ability
•  Decision-making ability.

Whilst some people may not be used to playing situational online games such as these, don’t panic! You won’t be at any disadvantage, just ensure you play the games somewhere quiet with little to no distractions around you, taking your time to read the instructions carefully.

Step 4 – The PwC video Interview

The PwC video interview will ask you to record your responses to questions and different case studies. This is your opportunity to demonstrate your motivations for working at the company.

Step 5 – Assessment Day

The final step of the PwC recruitment process is an assessment day. This day will involve working in groups as well as individually on a wide range of different case studies allowing you to really understand what it is to work a typical day at PwC.

Step 6 – Successful Application

Provided that you have passed all of the above steps, you will have been successful in your application!

Many successful candidates have commented that the entire process of application to hiring typically takes around 2-3 weeks, this is something that you should keep in mind when applying for a position with the company.

Assessment Tests

The PwC assessment tests are an essential part of the application process. The assessments for PwC can also vary based on the different requirements of the different positions. For example, technical positions will require a mechanical aptitude test and customer service, administrative/ management positions will require you to take a Personality Test, SJT, and Numerical Test.
